MEET JARED GURFEIN
Jared Gurfein is a lifelong Republican, from over a century of Jewish Republicans with the ideals of Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Thomas Dewey, Jacob Javitz, Ronald Reagan, Nelson Rockefeller, and most of all his Great Uncle Judge Murray Gurfein who authored the legendary Pentagon Papers case decision ultimately adopted by the Supreme Court protecting the Free press. He is a proven leader committed to preserving the future of America, especially for South Florida. He brings decades of experience as a corporate lawyer and entrepreneur who has fought to protect everyday Americans from corruption and promote economic growth.
Jared clerked for the legendary Judge Milton Pollack in the Southern District of New York, where he helped conclude the infamous Boesky/Drexel insider trading cases. He assisted in drafting opinions that established strong insider trading laws to protect everyday Americans and their retirement funds from an unfair marketplace. After a meaningful tenure at legendary law firm Skadden Arps and a period as General Counsel of a Fortune 100 Company, Jared has also been a pioneer in private equity ventures focused on sustainability and green energy through profitable, capitalist approaches.
As co-founder of Lucid Absinthe, Jared led the effort to legalize absinthe in the United States after a 95-year ban. His work with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau showcased his expertise in navigating complex regulations and working well to overcome obstacles. More recently, Jared was appointed CEO of Looking Glass Labs, where he focused on technology and early-stage companies and facilitated a significant acquisition of sustainability assets - again using Capitalism and the Markets rather than nonsensical edicts from the far left, to achieve a path to sustainable energy, while leveraging America's bountiful traditional energy assets. “There is no reason to tear down the old system before the new system is ready, ruining the lives of millions of American workers. Parallel paths are the only way.” “It's time to depoliticize Climate Change and act practically to protect Florida and all of our coastal regions from the increasing risks posed by warmer water. Enough scoring points. Time to Act.”
He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law (where he was an associate Editor on the Law Review) and studied business at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where his daughter is currently an honors student studying journalism. She writes sports for The Michigan Daily, the most widely distributed college newspaper in the world.
Jared’s commitment to family values runs deep, coming from his uniquely Republican Jewish family of immigrants and US veterans who served in active war zones, making him a staunch advocate for Vets. He stands firmly behind President Trump’s agenda and is committed to principles that strengthen law and order, boost economic growth, and protect our nation’s sovereignty. He is running for Congress to continue to bring common sense, accountability, and strength back to Washington. And stand by our allies, including often unfairly maligned Israel.
Jared has and always will work with people regardless of party or affiliation and intends to use those skills to work with Speaker Johnson to continue building bridges between the parties. “There is no reason a Democrat and a Republican should have to follow orders when they don't agree with them. We can work together in lock step for common goals and good."
